Week of May 14, 2012

Exciting events in our classroom: Our bake sale for the Relay for Life was a success!  I'm so proud of the 4th graders for following through with this project.  We were able to make $103 for the Relay for Life!  I have been asked to present the check at the opening ceremony for the Relay for Life at Kreher Park on June 8 at 6:00.  John will be helping me to present the check.  Thanks for all your help with this! Our field trip to the UMD Planetarium was very fun and informative.  Thanks to Mrs. Punjak for setting that up for us. Thanks to Mr. Maynes for his help with the bake sale.  Thanks again to all the parents that baked or bought us special treats!  I will be looking for some drivers to help out with our upcoming field trip to Hayward on May 31.  I will send home the permission slip next week.  Please check your schedule and think about whether you could help us out with driving.
