Week of March 26, 2012

Exciting events in our classroom:
  • Our field trip to Northland College turned out wonderful! It was a great opportunity for our students to see the Native American museum and see the program put on by Larry Yazzie and the Native Pride Dancers.  We all enjoyed it very much!
  • We will be leading Liturgy this Wednesday, March 28.  Please join us if you can.
  • Please help your student take home their Native American project this week.  They turned out great, and I don't want them to get ruined!
  • Keep reminding your child to read each night.  We've been talking about voracious reading lately, and I'm pleased to see so many students reading voraciously.  The more they read, the better readers they will become!
Focus areas for the week:
Religion – Plan Liturgy
Language Arts - Daily 5/CAFE, Guided Reading, finish folktales, write agriculture reports, plurals
Math – Means, Factors and Multiples (Please keep practicing your math facts!)

Believe it or not, next Tuesday is the end of 3rd quarter!  I'm still missing a few report cards from students.  Please have your child return their report card to me if they haven't yet.  Thank you to those who have sent in snacks.  Please send one if you haven't yet, so we can keep our snack cupboard full!
Have a great week!
