Week of November 14, 2011

Exciting events in our classroom:
  • The Veteran's Program went great!  It was so fun to see all the costumes and the results of everyone's hard work.  Thanks to the parents for helping your child learn their lines and a big thanks to Ms. Betzold for her hard work!
  • Thank you so much for all your donations for Stuff the Truck!  With a total weight of 232 lbs the 4th grade won the contest!  As a school, we were able to donate over 800 lbs of food and other items total to the BRICK.  What a great service project!
  • We are still busy working on preparations for our school Thanksgiving luncheon on November 17.  We are helping the Kindergarten make table runners, and we are also in charge of the place cards.  It is always nice to sit down with the whole school for a Thanksgiving celebration!
  • 2nd Quarter has now begun!  Please send a snack with your child to share with the class for this quarter.   Thanks to those of you that have already sent one!
  • Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up this Thursday night.  Please contact me or Ms. Sara if you need to reschedule.  I will be giving you your child's report card at that time and discussing how their year is going so far.  I'm looking forward to talking with all of you!
