Week of September 26th

Exciting events last week in our classroom:
  • Last Thursday we met with our Kindergarten Buddies for the first time.  We made apple mobiles in honor of fall.  The 4th graders had a great time helping out their buddies.  Thank you Mrs. Westlund for putting that activity together for us!
  • We had a wonderful Native American Celebration Mass on Wednesday.  I enjoyed seeing so many students process in with Fr. Gary.
  • We also got to celebrate Gabe's birthday!  We are so happy to have him in our class!
Focus areas for the week:
Religion – Faithfulness
Language Arts - Mr. Popper's Penguins
Math – Place value and number comparisons
Social Studies - History of WI
Art We will be meeting up with the 2nd graders this Friday to paint rocks together.  Thank you Mrs. Newago for getting us rocks!  I'm excited to see what everyone will make!
Science – We will be finishing up our unit on plant and animal cells.  Then we will be learning about trees in preparation for our field trip to Kreher

Thursday, Oct. 6 - Picture Day
Mon., Oct. 10 - NO SCHOOL
Wed., Oct. 12  – NO SCHOOL
