Graded Work
Our first full week of school has started. Today I sent home graded spelling tests from last week. All graded work will be sent home on Mondays. I had the students write their new spelling lists in their planners for this week. I also asked them to write in any words that they got wrong on last weeks spelling list. Not everyone had a chance to do this, so please make sure your child does. Words will keep coming up throughout the year, so it will be helpful to them to practice the ones they got wrong.
Classroom Economy
We are starting our classroom economy this week. The class voted and decided we are the "4th Grade Rock Stars." Students will be paid for doing their jobs with "starbucks." They can also receive fines for misbehaving. They will keep track of their credits and debits in their bank book. At the end of the month they will be able to cash in their credits for starbucks, which can be used at our class store.
BASE Training (Safe and Sacred Training)
If you have not attended BASE training please try to make it to the training at our school this Wednesday at 5:30 in the Social Hall. This is good for 5 years and allows you to volunteer in the classroom and drive for our field trips. Anybody who might want to volunteer should come to this including grandparents.
